Released a year after Musica Urbana’s first album, this exceptional gem also featured keyboardist Joan Albert Amargos, mostly in duo with flamenco virtuoso Feliu Gasul. While in some ways traditional – in feeling, virtuosity and national sensibility - its genius emerges through a unique and contemporary fusion of styles, a lightly-worn intensity and a high degree of musical intelligence, again capturing by chance of time one of those rare cultural moments in which inspiration outpaces calculation. With edge-of-the-seat playing and a mixture of compositional and improvisational flexibility, there’s also a lightness and sense of joy in the playing that conceals the fiendish complexity of the music.  Joan Albert plays acoustic piano, fender electric and clavinet. Jaume Cortadelus adds some perfectly judged flute on one track and the whole of Musica Urbana appears on another, playing a new composition by Joan Albert.
