Members of the Czech Opening Performance Orchestra collected scores new and old from the original Fluxus alumni, written for classical instruments, invented and exotic instruments and other sounding objects, which they recorded or had specialists record – some were also performed by their authors – to create a kind of virtual Fluxus concert, but in contemporary recording quality. There’s a high diversity of ideas, music and actions here, and it’s as good as impression as you’ll get of much of what Fluxus was up to. Not at all mainstream and a specialist taste, but invaluable for anyone interested what was a highly influential but culturally sidelined mid-20th century art intervention. Comes with a 72-page book of pictures, scores and useful articles by Milan Knizac, Eric Andersen and others. Many of the Fluxus groundcrew are represented here, including  John Cage, Eric Andersen, Dick Higgins, Milan Knizac, Philip Xcorner, Ben Pattersen, Terry Riley, Yoko Ono, Yasuano Tone, Yoshi Wada, Sten Hanson,LaMonter Young, Mieko Shiomi and Guiseppe Chiari.
