A fascinating piece of work, quite small, but very definite and focused. There are nine pieces here, organised in three groups: Water, Metal and Stone taking one 'instrument' at a time: wooden salad bowls floating upside down in water. a giant conch shell filled with water, canoe paddles, a steel bowl and metal conduit pipe, a 50" galvanised steel conduit, a circular saw blade, two circular marble tables with two stone mortars and two 'moqui stones'', and 15 cylindrical stone drill core samples. You may not be convinced yet, but the techniques used to coax subtle and varied sounds from these materials, the exquisite sounds they produce and the musical sensibility employed make this a very convincing and remarkable recording. Everything has its voice if you search for it. Useful sleeve-notes.
