Nuria Andorra is a classically trained improvising percussionist and seems to restrict herself here largely to minimal but highly effective resources – a gran casa with cymbals and a few objects to excite it with - one way or another - to produce a wide and mysterious range of unlikely sounds. It’s a road well trodden but in this context it makes a perfect foil for – and excercises a creative constraint on – Fred; you really can’t tell who is doing what some of the time and when you can, it counts. There are some luminous tracks here and they sound different.
