The goal is to have 3 audio clips from each ReR release posted here. That means more than 300 mp3 files, so we had to find the best compromise between sound quality, fitting all the files on our available space, and making them fast as possible for everyone to download (people like me with 28k modems for example :). So, we've been resampling from 44.100 to 22.050, encoding at 56 kbit/second. Not perfect but alright for this purpose.

A few of the first samples we put up on the site (the bigger ones, around 1MB) are still 44.1 and 96 or 128kbs. This was before we found a much better mp3 encoder! Now we can manage to get smaller files that don't sound too bad so we plan to replace all those earlier megabyte-ish sized files with newer, smaller files so if that's an issue for you hang on because it's coming soon.

Also please let us know if you find any broken links. It's a lot of stuff to keep track of so things might slip by...things....
