Two excellent percussion pieces for ensembles of existing and invented instruments - exploring microtonality and sustain as well as great ensemble rhythm construction. Unlike nearly all 'classical' percussion works in both aesthetic and resources - falls rather somewhere between Partch, Afro-America, Asian traditional and an imagined complex tribal society in a parallel universe.
