DRAKE, BOB: Planets and Animals
As always exquisitely recorded, this is a suite of short, dense, twisty, jaw-dropping and highly unusual songs-slash-mini-epics, that give delight and hurt not (Wm Shaksper, 1610). Its a whirlwind. I could go on to extol the man and the work but this is his 10th release for us, so most of you are familiar by now with what he does and how well he does it. If not, just make a start with this immaculate gem of imagination and concision. For this release, Bob has added a small menagerie of invented instruments to his already extensive, acoustic and electronic instrumentarium. Comes with impressive fold-out artwork from the incomparable Joe Mruk.
This subscription edition comes with a handmade, numbered and signed picture by Bob (of animals looking at planets - obviously).
