AMM: At The Roundhouse
Recorded in 1972 when AMM was down to Eddie Prevost and Lou Gare - a rare memento from this undocumented period in AMM's long history. And it's different - as you'd expect from a drum and saxophone duo - there's much more action from Eddie and a chance to hear what a unique take Lou Gare had on his instrument. With liberal insertions of silence this bears the stamp of something more than jazz, and it has the same focused, intense, measured, coherent pace that AMM are famous for. It's good to have recovered this recording.
